Heidi Loranger reports on the Catholic High School Honor Roll from Anchorage, Alaska. The Holy Rosary Academy in Anchorage was one recipient of this honor.


Father John Fisher, principal of Salesianum School in Wilmington, Del., is interviewed by local TV station WHYY. Fr. Fisher said Salesianum’s selection as a Top 50 school was, in large part, a result of its commitment to Catholic identity in education.

Catholic schools, like other religious schools, bring a particular theological outlook to the task of preparing young people for the world. The inaugural Catholic High School Honor Roll, produced by the Acton Institute, takes into account schools’ commitment to civic and economic education that will prepare students for politics, civil society, and business.
